The Object (Oriented) Processor
The next generation of general purpose processors
The object processor has for goal to change the way microprocessors process data. We could say it short: Tell the processor "What to do", not "How to do". Today processors has to explain every step of each action, ie: Calculate address of a data (which itself takes many steps), Load data to a register, Do a basic operation, write data to memory...
The OPU will work at a much higher level. Managing objects, we don't need registers anymore (we obviously have hundreds of them, but you cannot see them), we nativelly manage programs encapsulation (for security), prevent data memory overflow (because the OPU knows the size of the objects). Protect the stack, be nativelly multitask, allow pipelining and parallelism without program actions.
After three years of thinking on the principles of the processor, we are now at the first stage to raise money to create a team and start the real work. See "Our Goal" and "Investors" to read the technical stuff and the financial stuff about it.
